BAREBACK TREELESS - HYBRID SADDLE OVERVIEW:

These saddles are designed to provide optimal comfort for both horse and rider during pleasure rides.  Saddle design started with integrating a bareback pad feel into our pony saddle design.  Channeled panels are built under the bottom layer to minimize direct pressure on horse's spine.  Bottom flap layers are also padded to protect from strap pressures.

For those quick stops and starts you have a thick looped handle in front and a higher thicker cantle rim around the seat area.  Stirrups are built into endurance style fenders for your comfort in case you happen to loose your balance from side to side - be aware that you should strive not to apply constant stirrup pressure - a forward balanced rider is a friend to the horse.

Stirrup and Girth straps are connected with D-rings.  There is a padded bottom flap layer which keeps these connections from pinching your horses sides.  Straps are essentially sandwiched between the two flap layers - again for comfort to both horse and rider.

Stresses from Girth and Stirrup straps are distributed with a wide harness layer over top of the channel padding, but riders should be judicious in frequency of posting.  If you need to post frequently with your full weight in the stirrups often, you may need a different saddle.  These saddle panels may be sufficient for constant posting, but we are not recommending they be used for this purpose.

Saddle is constructed to form to the natural curvature of your horse's spine.  Break-in time is needed for the saddle to form with the Horse and Rider.  Break-in will require rider awareness of girth tightness.  Once the saddle is broken in, girth tightness should not vary much during rides.

Each Saddle comes with both Western style nylon cinch straps and English style billet converters so you can use your most horse friendly girth.

TREELESS SADDLE CAUTIONS:

* Over-cinching not recommended.  Some wide or barrel-chested horses and sweaty horses may not be mounted in stirrups without slipping.

* We do NOT recommend these for a novice rider without supervision.

* These Saddles are not designed for jumping, endurance, or competition events.  If anyone chooses to use one for these purposes, we would like to hear the results !

* No formed seat - wide, barrel-chested horses may result in uncomfortable rotation at the hips.
